Sudheer Babu started his acting career with a small role in Ye Maaya Chesave (2010), directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and produced by his sister-in-law Manjula Ghattamaneni. Siva Manasulo Sruthi (2012), a remake of the Tamil film Siva Manasula Sakthi (2009), was his first film in which he played a leading role. Babu scored a huge success with the horror comedy Prema Katha Chitram in 2013. The film was made at a cost of Rs 2 crore but grossed Rs 20 crore at the box office. The film begins with Sudheer Babu, Praveen, and Nanditha planning to commit suicide together because they have all failed in their own lives. First, they try to do the last thing they want to do before they die. Sudheer wants to attack the local MLA at his home, while Nanditha wants to steal a new car. After stealing a new car and hitting the local MLA, the three flee from the police and head to a nearby resort. The car is stolen at the resort, and the three go inside to get something to eat. There, another suicidal person joins them, and the four of them walk to the farmhouse. There, Praveen and Nanditha, who is in love with Sudheer, plan to postpone their suicide for three days so that Sudheer doesn’t commit suicide because of his failed relationship.

Yemaya Chesawi

Ye Maaya Chesave is a romantic drama film that was released in 2010 and was written and directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. The film was shot in Telugu. Naga Chaitanya and Samantha made their acting debut in the film. The film was produced by Manjula Ghattamaneni under the banner of Indira Productions and AR Rahman composed the music. Manoj Paramahamsa was in charge of the cinematography and Anthony Gonsalves was in charge of the film editing. Umarji Anuradha was in charge of the film dialogues.

Simbu and Trisha starred in the Tamil version of the film, titled Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, which was shot simultaneously.
