The Reserve Bank of India will issue a notification for direct recruitment of Grade B Officer posts in all regional branches across the country. The recruitment exercise is aimed at recruiting eligible candidates on a probationary basis for filling up General Posts, DSIM and DEPR Posts. The online registration link is expected to be launched in June 2024. Interested persons can apply through the online web registration link provided by the RBI officials. RBI Grade B- Educational Qualification
The educational requirements for different positions vary and no experience is required. Candidates applying for these positions must possess the minimum educational requirements prescribed by the Reserve Bank of India:-
- For B-level General Officers – Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in any major with a minimum of 60% marks for general candidates (50% marks for reserve candidates) or a postgraduate degree in any related major with a minimum of 55% marks in all semesters (pass mark for reserve candidates).
- For B Grade DEPR Officers – Possessing a Masters degree in Economics/Finance/PGDM/MBA with major in Economics or Finance or any other equivalent degree with minimum 55% aggregate marks in all semesters can apply
- For Grade B- DSIM Officers- Master’s Degree in Statistics/Statistics/Mathematical Economics/Econometrics/Statistics and Informatics/Applied Statistics and Informatics or Postgraduate Diploma in Business Analytics with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in all semesters.

The age of the candidate must be between 21 and 30 years, except for reserved categories where age is relaxed. The above age limit shall be relaxed up to the maximum as per the norms of the reserved categories as follows:

Candidates are required to pay a certain amount to complete the registration process. The payment should be made online through net banking/credit card/debit card/UPI/Paytm etc. The registration fees by category are as follows:
- General/EWS/OBC candidates- ₹850/-
- SC/ST/PwBD candidates – ₹100/-
* It is important to note that RBI staff members are not required to pay application fee.
RBI Grade B Officer Selection Process
The selection will be divided into several stages according to different positions, as follows:
Reserve Bank of India Governor Selection Process
- Phase I Written Examination- The online phase of the written examination will consist of 200 objective questions. The question paper structure will be designed for the subjects of English, General Knowledge, Mathematics, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning.
- Phase II Written Examination – Those candidates who have qualified for the Phase I written examination by securing the minimum cut-off marks will appear for the Phase II examination. Three examinations will be held in the subsequent rounds for different subjects as listed in the notification issued.
- Interview – The final stage of the recruitment exercise is the interview stage. All candidates who have passed the above stages are eligible for the interview stage.
RBI B-Class DEPR/DSIM Selection Procedure
- Online written examination – This is the preliminary stage of the selection process and mainly comprises three examination papers which will be conducted on different dates as per the time mentioned at the time of issuing the admit card.
- Interview – Candidates who pass the cut-off score will be invited for an interview. This phase of the examination is also known as the personality testing phase as the board members assess and analyse the candidate’s behaviour and attitude to check if they are suitable for the position.
