Tyla quells confusion about her race
“In Southa, I would be classified as a woman of color, and in other places, I would be classified as a black woman. Race is classified differently in different parts of the world.”
“I don't expect anyone who doesn't feel comfortable doing so to identify as Colored outside of Southa because I understand the weight of that word outside of SA, But to end this conversation, I both as a person of color in South Africa and as a black woman.”
