Sudha Chandran Husband Tring

During the filming of the movie Sudha met associate director Ravi Dang. It was love at first sight for Sudha and she later decided to get married.

However because she is Tamil and he is Punjabi her family did not approve of their union. Despite their best efforts to persuade them they refused. The pair finally fled away and got married after considerable persuasion.

Sudha Chandran and assistant director Ravi Dang were married at the Chiranagar Murugan Temple in Chembur in 1994. The couple however does not have any children and have been living their lives happily together for more than 25 years.

Struggles

When she was three and a half years old she began dancing. Her passion for dance led her to choose artistic studies in high school rather than science. The decision was made only with the intention of allowing her to keep dancing in mind. Her love of dance only grew stronger over time but due to a series of unfortunate circumstances she was not even sure if she would ever be able to dance again.

She was involved in an accident on the bus that required the amputation of her right foot. That was the worst that could happen to an eager young dancer. It took her three years to recuperate and feel normal after getting a Jaipuri leg and Physiotherapy sessions.

She was sick of hearing about how she couldn’t dance again and the unsolicited pity she received only strengthened her resolve to dance again. She went to her father and informed him that she was prepared to perform once more after going through a tedious and drawn-out process of learning to dance all over again.

She was more anxious because this was her comeback and the headlines in the media read Loses a Foot Walks a Mile.
