After the actor blocked the original number, the student tried to contact her from other numbers. Eventually, Sonarika filed a lawsuit in February 2018. He had been calling and messaging her since seven or eight months ago. Sonarika felt depressed and scared after receiving the messages. This affected her mental health.
Sonarika Bhadoria said he called her from at least 25 different numbers. A few days after I switched off my phone, he started calling my father and family members. I didn’t take it seriously at first, but in February I went to the police and filed a complaint.
The 23-year-old man was detained in the village and brought to Mumbai after the police obtained his call records. He was produced in court and ordered to remain in police custody. The accused reportedly wanted to marry the actor and when she refused, he threatened to commit suicide.
