Biography of Siddarth Kaul
Siddarth Kaul (also known as Siddharth Kaul) is an Indian professional cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Punjab in 2007 and is a fast bowler with a bowling speed of around 130 km/h. Kaul was a member of the winning Indian Under-19 team at the 2008 Under-19 Cricket World Cup and was recruited to the Indian Premier League, signing with the Kolkata Knight Riders. His father, Tej Kaul, played for Jammu and Kashmir for three seasons in the 1970s.
Kaur made his debut for Punjab cricket team against Odisha in the 2007-08 Ranji Trophy, alongside his brother who played as wicketkeeper. He took five wickets in the first innings and finished with figures of 5/97. He has also represented the Punjab youth team at the Under-15, Under-17 and Under-19 levels.

Siddarth Kaul made his debut for Punjab in the Ranji Trophy against Odisha in the 2007/08 season. He was a member of the ICC Under-19 World Cup winning team in 2008. The right-arm medium-pace bowler was used by the Kolkata Knight Riders.
Sunrisers Hyderabad signed Siddarth Kaul for the 2016 season. He performed well in the 2018 season, picking 21 wickets in 17 matches and was selected in the Indian T20I squad for the tour to England. He played 3 T20I matches for India, picking 4 wickets, and later played ODI cricket. Kaul has not picked any wickets in 3 matches so far.
He was the second highest wicket-taker in the 2012/13 Ranji Trophy season. Since his debut in 2007, Kaul has played 63 first-class matches (111 innings), taking 232 wickets; 90 List-A matches (90 innings), taking 155 wickets; and 104 T20 matches (104 innings), taking 114 wickets.
Kaur once again performed well in the 2019/20 Ranji Trophy season, picking up 28 wickets. Punjab’s performance was not good enough to qualify for the knockout stage. Siddarth Kaur had a solid IPL season, picking up 49 wickets in 45 matches at an average of 8.47 runs per over. If he performs well again in the 2020 IPL, he may qualify for the World T20 tournament to be held in October this year.
Siddarth Kaul proved his talent in the 2019/20 Vijay Hazare Trophy, picking up 16 wickets in 8 matches (8 innings) with a highest score of 5-48. His performance helped Punjab qualify for the knockout rounds.

He was punished for violating the IPL code of conduct and admitted to a Class I offence under 2.1.4 of the IPL code of conduct for players and team officials, which he accepted, as he was taken off while celebrating the wicket of Mumbai Indians spin bowler Mayank Markande at the Wankhede Stadium in April 2018.
