Indian international cricketer Shivam Dube is a member of the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the Mumbai FC in domestic cricket. On 18 January 2016, he made his debut for Mumbai in the Twenty20 League in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2015–16. On 25 February 2017, he made his debut for Mumbai in the List A League in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2016–17.
On 7 December 2017, he made his first-class debut for Mumbai in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy match. He scored his first ever five in the first innings. He scored his first century in first-class cricket in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy match between Mumbai and Railways on 2 November 2018. He scored seven hundred in the following match for a total of 54 and another five against Karnataka. Dubey hit five sixes in one innings in the Ranji Trophy match against Baroda on 17 December 2018.
In December 2018, Royal Challengers Bangalore bought him at the player auction of the 2019 Indian Premier League. Ahead of the 2021 Indian Premier League, Dubey was bought by Rajasthan Royals at the IPL auction in February 2021. In February 2022, at the 2022 Indian Premier League auction, he was bought by Chennai Super Kings.
CSK retained him for the 2023 Indian Premier League for Rs 4 crore. Throughout the season, he scored a total of 418 runs in 264 balls at a batting average of 158.33 and an average of 38. When he scored 52 runs in 27 balls against his old club Royals, it was his best game of the season.
CSK paid Rs 4 crore to keep him in the Indian Premier League 2024. In the second match of the season, he scored 51 off 23 balls against Gujarat Titans. For this effort, he received the ‘Man of the Match’ award.
In October 2019, Dubey was selected in the Indian T20 International (T20I) squad for the series against Bangladesh. On 3 November 2019, he played in the first T20I match for India against Bangladesh. Later that month, Dubey was selected in the Indian One-Day International (ODI) squad for the series against West Indies. On 15 December 2019, he played in the first ODI match for India against West Indies. On 2 February 2020, in the fifth T20 International against New Zealand, Dube bowled the second-highest conceded 34 runs in the history of the tournament.
On January 11, 2024, in the first Twenty20 International match between India and Afghanistan, he took a wicket and conceded 9 runs. He scored 60 runs in 40 balls. He became the fourth Indian to score a half-century and take a wicket in a T20I match.
