• Shekhar thanked his father Hasmukh Rafjani for bringing music into his life. “As a child, I wanted to play an instrument like him. He encouraged me to get the right training and laid the foundation for my musical future,” Shekhar said.

• He made his Bollywood debut in Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi (1999) as part of the duo ‘Vishal-Shekhar’.

• In October 2015, he founded his own publishing company, Shekhar Ravjiani Publishing Company LLP.

• Shekhar first met his future partner, Vishal Dadlani, in a recording studio, where the two met by chance. Although Vishal’s face looked familiar, he couldn’t remember the circumstances of their first meeting. However, a few “Have we met before?” conversations led them to realize that they had played together in a local band in South Mumbai. Shekhar played keyboards, while Vishal was the lead guitarist in the band.
