Biography

Satish Kaushik was a well-known Indian actor film director producer and screenwriter. He started his acting career in the late 1970s and appeared in several popular films like Masoom Ram Lakhan Karz and Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja.

However his breakthrough role came in the form of Mr. India a film in which he played the character of Calendar. After establishing himself as an actor Kaushik turned his attention to writing and directing films.

He made his directorial debut in 1993 with the film Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja which was a box-office failure. However he bounced back with his next film Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain which was a commercial success.

Satish Kaushik was 66 years old at the time of his death. Satish was born on 13 April 1956 in Mahendragarh Punjab. His zodiac sign is Aries.

Childhood

As a child Satish Kaushik was known for his creativity and sense of humor. He would often entertain his family and friends with his jokes and mimicry. Satish Kaushik and Shashi had a baby boy in 1994 who died when he was two years old. The cause of his death has not been revealed. They did however have a daughter Vanshika Kaushik in 2012. The couple had Vanshika with the surrogate process.

Controversy

Neena Gupta Pregnancy Controversy

Neena discussed her old friendship with Kaushik in her book. She also revealed that when she became pregnant with cricketer Viv Richards’ child Kaushik advised her to pass the child off as his after marrying. Neena was unmarried at the time and was afraid of the consequences of having a child. In her book Neena revealed that the acclaimed actor-director told her that if the child is born with dark skin she can simply say it’s his and they can marry. Nobody will suspect anything he claims.

In a subsequent interview Kaushik discussed the situation saying that Neena and he had been friends since 1975 and that only a few people were aware of her pregnancy. He stated that he offered his support because he did not want her to be alone.

Satish Kaushik had a net worth of Rs 120 crore. Satish Kaushik allegedly owned a bungalow in Mumbai’s Versova neighbourhood. He also had a farmhouse in Chandigarh. According to reports Satish Kaushik owned several expensive cars including an Audi Q7 an Audi Q3 and an MG Hector. He was said to love cars.

Death

Satish Kaushik a well-known Bollywood actor and director died on March 9 2023 at the age of 66. According to reports Kaushik died of a heart attack while driving in his car. Doctors tried to save Kaushik but he died in the hospital. As soon as word of Satish Kaushik’s death spread Bollywood celebrities expressed their condolences on Twitter and Instagram. Sanjay Dutt Abhishek Bachchan Manoj Bajpayee and Nawazudding Siddique have all shared heartfelt messages in his memory.

His close associate and best friend Anupam Kher took to Twitter to announce the sad news. Kher’s Tweet stated “I know ‘death is the ultimate truth of this world’ But I never thought in my dreams that I would write this thing about my best friend #SatishKaushik while alive. Such a sudden full stop on friendship of 45 years!! Life will NEVER be the same without you SATISH! Om Shanti!” Kher also shared a black and white photo where he and Kaushik are seen together
