Biography
Sai Tamhankar is an Indian film and television actress best known for her work in Hindi and Marathi Cinema. She became well-known for her role in the ETV Marathi television drama Ya Gojirvanya Gharat.
In 2008 the Marathi actress made her Bollywood debut in Subhash Ghai’s Hindi film Black & White. However she made her Marathi film debut in the same year with Rajeev Patil’s Sanai Chowghade.
Since then she has appeared in Marathi serials like Kasturi Sathi Re and Agni Shikha. Her mainstream success in the 2015 comedy-romance Hunterrr was a turning point for Tamhankar.

Career
She began performing in street plays and inter-college competitions shortly after graduating sowing the first seeds of her acting career. Sai Tamhankar is the recipient of two Filmfare Marathi Awards and one Filmfare Award.
She received the Best Actress award for her role in the play Aadhe Adhure which inspired her to pursue acting as a profession. She was presented with a major role in the Marathi sitcom Ya Gojirvanya Gharat at the play’s award ceremony.
In 2008 Tamhankar made her Bollywood debut as the lead in Subhash Ghai’s crime thriller Black & White. The following year she collaborated with Aamir Khan and Asin on Ghajini and in the same year she made her Marathi film debut with Sanai Choughade.
But Ya Gojirvanya Gharat a Marathi television series gave her her big break. She has also appeared as an anchor in other television programmes like Fu Bai Fu Sathi Re Kasturi Agni Shikha and Anubandha.
