Ghattamaneni Ramesh Babu is an Indian actor and producer, known for his work in Telugu films. Babu made his screen debut in the 1974 film Alluri Seetharama Raju. He acted in more than 15 films before retiring in 1997.
In 2004, he founded a film production company called Krishna Productions Private Ltd., named after his father. His brother Mahesh Babu played the lead in two of his films, Arjun and Aatidi. His last appearance was as a host in the 2011 film Dukudu. Ramesh Babu died on January 8, 2022, due to liver disease.

The film, directed by Gunasekar and starring his brother Mahesh Babu, Shreya Saran Kirti Reddy Raja Prakash Raj and Sartha, was a huge box office success and ran for 100 days in six locations.
His production company was appreciated for the Meenakshi Amman temple set built by Thotta Tharani at a cost of INR 4 crore. Athidhi was his next production attempt. Mahesh Babu once again played the lead role in the film directed by Surender Reddy. Amrita Rao played a bad character opposite Mahesh and Murali Sharma.
Ramesh Babu's production company collaborated with UTV Motion Pictures to produce the film Athidhi. This was the first time in history that a Telugu film was produced by a corporate. The film received poor reviews and performed poorly at the box office. In 2011, he was the host of the film Dookudu.
