Mrunal Thakur is a well-known Indian model and actress who has appeared in Hindi and Marathi films and Indian opera soap operas. She is known for her role as Bulbul in the television series Kumkum Bhagya. She played the lead role in David Womark’s 2018 film Love Sonia.

Mrunal Thakur was born on 1 August 1992 in Nagpur, India. She comes from a Hindu Marathi family and has two siblings, a younger brother and an older sister. Mrunal has a degree in Journalism from KC College.

During college, Mrunal Thakur acted in the Star Plus serial “Mujhse Kuchh Kehti…Yeh Khamoshiyaan” with famous actor Mohit Sehgal. Later, she played the role of a columnist in the Star Plus serial “Har Yug Mein Ayega Ek Arjun”. Mrunal also hosted a Hindi show “Do Fool Chaar Mali” with co-host Barun Sobti. The show was held in Dubai on April 20, 2013. She also acted in the lead role in Zee TVs serial “Kumkum Bhagya” with Arjit Taneja. Mrunal Thakur also tried her hand at acting in Marathi films. She acted in many films like Vitti Dandu, Hello Nandan, Rangkarmi and Surajya.

Mrunal is all set to make his Bollywood debut with renowned actor Hrithik Roshan in the upcoming film Super 30. The film is completely based on the life of a Patna-based researcher named Anand Kumar, who trains 30 economically backward and meritorious students every year for the IIT-JEE entrance exam with a high success rate.

Mrunal Thakur made her international film debut with Love Sonia, an Indian-American co-production produced by renowned producer David Womack. The actress played the title role in the film, which highlighted the issue of human trafficking worldwide. She played a village girl who gets caught up in the global sex trade in the film, which also starred the likes of Demi Moore and Freida Pinto. The young actress apparently lived near a brothel in Kolkata in order to study the body language of prostitutes for the film.
