Karn Vinod Sharma is a cricketer from Meerut. He is a well-rounded player who plays for the Indian Railways cricket team and actively plays for different IPL teams, currently playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He is an excellent left-handed batsman and leg hitter.

On 7 September 2014, Karn Sharma played against England in his first T20I match.
He made his national team debut against Sri Lanka on November 13, 2014. Unfortunately, he failed to play for the team due to his poor performance in his debut.
A month earlier, on December 9, 2014, he made his ODI debut against Australia, where he dismissed IPL teammate David Warner twice and took four wickets in the first two innings. However, he scored only 8 runs in the two innings.
IPL Career
In 2009, he played for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Sunrisers Hyderabad IPL franchise signed him in 2013. Opposing batsmen expected the young Sharma to be the bowler in a lineup that included Dale Steyn, Thisara Perera and Amit Mishra.
In response, he showed composure. His performance against Kings XI Punjab early in the tournament was a testament to his ability, as he used the spin ball to beat the Kings XI batsmen.
Sunrisers Hyderabad bought him for Rs 3.75 crore in the 2014 Indian Premier League auction after a bidding war with Kings XI Punjab. He was the highest-paid uncapped Indian player in the 2014 Indian Premier League.
In 2015, he was retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad and became the team’s main spin bowler. In 2016, he was retained by the team and won the Indian Premier League with Sunrisers Hyderabad.
In January 2018, he was bought by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 5 crore at the 2018 Indian Premier League auction. He went on to win the trophy that year and set a brilliant record of winning the IPL title three times with three different clubs. In February 2022, he was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore at the 2022 Indian Premier League auction.
