He rose to fame after playing Shiva Pandya in the film Pandya Store. He has been nominated for and won two awards from the Indian Television Academy.

So, I travelled from Thakur College to Alam Nagar in Andhri every day after college for a year, standing and waiting for auditions for ads, but none of them worked for me. “I was angry, I refused to go to meetings because I tried hard to find ads but none of them worked for me. I had given up going to ad meetings. Yes, I went through those times and I am grateful that my father made sure I learnt my lessons the hard way, not the easy way.”

Dhillon made his acting debut in 2012 with Project Baddi and shot to fame in 2013 when he played Aditya Vyas Bhatnagar in the second season of Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha. He also acted in other shows like Do Dil Ek Jaan, Yeh Hai Aashiqui and Hum Hain Na between 2013 and 2015. He played Arjun Singh in Piya Rangrezz (2015-2016) and played a dual role in Ek Aastha Aisi Bhee in 2017. Dhillon also took part in Box Cricket League 3 and starred in Internet Wala Love and a music video in 2018 and 2020 respectively. Since 2021, he has been playing Shiva Pandya in Pandya Store, which has earned him widespread recognition and award nominations. He also hosts the Star Plus show Pyar Ka Pehla Nasha and reprised his role in the 2022 edition of the game show.
