Gulshan Kumar's Biography
In Bollywood, the Super Cassettes Industries Limited (T-Series) music label was founded by Indian businessman, film and music producer Gulshan Kumar Dua, who founded T-Series in the 1980s and built it into a leading music label in the 1990s.
After his death, his brother Krishan Kumar and son Bhushan Kumar took over the management of T-Series. The lead singers Tulsi Kumar and Khushali Kumar are his daughters.
Gulshan Kumar was a great worshiper of Vaishno Devi. He led a free food aid program to provide free meals as an offering to all devotees visiting the Vaishno Devi temple as a token of their love and respect for the traditional faith of Vaishno Devi. The Baan Ganga area located between the pilgrimage sites of the Vaishno Devi temple was first opened in 1983.

Death of Gulshan Kumar
The attackers shot and killed Gulshan Kumar on August 12, 1997. Abdul Rauf alias Daud Merchant was sentenced to life imprisonment in a 2001 case to which he had contested.
The Bombay High Court on Thursday, July 1, dismissed Abdul Rauf's appeal against life imprisonment for the murder of T-Series founder Gulshan Kumar in August 1997. Rauf had appealed against the life imprisonment handed down by Justice ML Tahilyani (as he was then known) in April 2002 to Abdul Rauf alias Daud Merchant. He was one of the murderers in the case. The court also dismissed Maharashtra's challenge against the conviction of the accused Ramesh Taurani.
On August 12, 1997, Gulshan Kumar, the owner of Mumbai's T-Series, was shot dead as he was leaving a temple. The killers, including Rauf, had been monitoring Kumar's movements for more than two months before they shot him. The order was allegedly given by Dawood Ibrahim's gang.
August 12, 1997: Gulshan Kumar was shot dead while on his way to a temple in Andheri, Mumbai. He was killed instantly by 16 bullets fired by three attackers. August 30, 1997: Nadeem Akhtar Saifee, a member of the musical duo Nadeem-Shravan, was charged with murdering Gulshan Kumar. Nadeem said he was angry that Kumar had not promoted Hai Ajanabi enough. The case ended with Nadeem being acquitted. He has been living in the UK since then.
October 1997: Tips owner Ramesh Taurani is also detained for allegedly abetting the crime. Taurani is accused of paying Rs 25 lakh to Gulshan Kumar's killers. But the police could not prove their allegation in court. At that time, the main rival of Gulshan Kumar's T-Series was Taurani's Tips cassette.
November 1997: Police file a 400-page charge sheet against 26 people. 15 people are detained. One of the accused, Mohammad Ali Sheikh, later becomes the approver of the matter. According to the charge sheet filed by the police in the Circuit Court, the murder plan against Gulshan Kumar was hatched at the workplace of Dawood Ibrahim's brother Anis in Dubai.
April 2002: 18 of the 26 accused are acquitted. Abdul Rauf is found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment. July 1, 2021: The Bombay High Court upholds Abdul Rauf's conviction. A lower court's decision to free Rauf Merchant's brother Rashid resulted in both of them being sentenced to life imprisonment. Ramesh Taurani is acquitted and the court dismisses the state government's appeal.

Gulshan Kumar Dua's father, Chandraban, was a juice vendor who traded on the streets of Delhi's Daryaganj neighborhood. Gulshan Kumar was born into a Punjabi Hindu family. His family came to Canada as refugees from the Jahan region of western Punjab, fleeing anti-Hindu violence during the 1947 partition of India. Dua began helping his father with work at an early age.

In 1991, Mahesh Bhatt and Gulshan Kumar released the Hindi romantic comedy, Ayyar. Bhatt's daughter Pooja Bhatt played the first major female lead in the film, while Aamir Khan played the male lead. Deepak Tijori made a surprise appearance, while Anupam Kher Sameer Chitre and Tiku Talsania also played supporting roles.
Chorri is an unauthorized remake of the 1956 Hindi film Chori Chori, starring Rajith Kapoor and Nargis, and the 1934 Hindi classic Chori Chori, starring Rajith Kapoor and Claudette Colbert. Chorri was later adapted into the Tamil version Kadhal Rojavae (2000). Also influenced by the American film was the 2007 Kannada film Hudugaata.

Jackie Shroff and Madhuri Dixit played the lead roles in the 1992 Indian film, Aasoo Bane Angarey, directed by K. Vishwanath. In the follow-up film, Aasoo Bane Angarey, which was released a year later, Madhuri Dixit again played the dual roles of mother and daughter.
Although the film did not do well at the box office, Sangeet's sympathetic portrayal of Dixit was praised and is considered one of her best yet most underrated performances. Gulshan Kumar in Bewafa Sanam (1995)
Gulshan Kumar directed and produced the 1995 Hindi musical thriller film Bewafa Sanam. The film starred Kiran Kumar, Shilpa Shirodkar, Aruna Irani, Beena Banerjee, Shakti Kapoor and his brother Krishan Kumar. The story was written by Gulshan Kumar, the dialogues were written by Madan Joshi and the screenplay was written by Sachin Bhowmick.
Nikhil-Vinay Amar Utpal Milind Sagar and Raju Singh composed the music. The male voices were mainly sung by Sonu Nigam and the female voices were sung by Anuradha Paudwal and Poornima. The song 1-1 from the album was also sung by Udit Narayan Nitin Mukesh and Kumar Sanu. The album gained a lot of popularity. Sonu Nigam's song Achha Sila Diya is still popular, while Udit Narayan and Kumar Sanu sang the uncommon song O Dil Tod Ke Hasti Ho for this film.
