He was born on 2 February 1979 in the famous Biraha family in Ghazipur. Nirahua started his career as a Biraha singer and rose to fame in 2003 with the music album “Nirahua Satal rahe”.

In 2006, he made his debut in the Bhojpuri drama Humka Aisa Waisa Na Samjha and went on to star in films like Chalat Mushafir Moh Liyo Re (2006), Nirahuwa Rikshaw Wala (2008) and Nirahuwa Rikshaw Wala Prati Gya (2008). He is also the owner of the production company Nirahua Entertainment Pvt Ltd.

Nilava’s popularity skyrocketed after the success of his 50th film, Nilava Hindustani (2014). He has also starred in patriotic films such as Patna is Pakistan (2015) and Border (2018), both of which are the highest-grossing Bollywood films of all time. He also achieved a milestone by shooting the first Bollywood film, Nilava London (2019), in London outside the Indian subcontinent.
