Dimple Kapadia was born and raised in Mumbai to rich parents and she always wanted to be an actress. Her father’s efforts to get her started in the film business gave her first break. Raj Kapoor a director first noticed her when she was 14 years old. He then cast her in the lead part of his teen romance Bobby (1973) which debuted to tremendous commercial success and brought her widespread public attention. She married the actor Rajesh Khanna just before the 1973 film’s premiere and stopped acting.
Two years after her breakup with Rajesh Khanna in 1984 Dimple Kapadia made a comeback in the movies. Her career was restarted with her return movie Saagar which was released a year later. She received Best Actress Filmfare Awards for both Bobby and Saagar. She became one of the top actresses in Hindi film through her efforts in the following ten years.

Raj Kapoor produced and directed the 1973 Bollywood musical romance Bobby which was written by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas. Rishi Kapoor the son of Raj Kapoor plays the leading man in the movie opposite Dimple Kapadia who is making her acting debut. The movie became a smash hit the highest-grossing Indian movie of 1973 the second highest-grossing Indian movie of the 1970s and one of the top 20 highest-grossing Indian movies of all time (when adjusted for inflation). It also became a worldwide smash in the Soviet Union where it attracted a viewership of 62.6 million viewers ranking it in the top 20 biggest movie office hits ever there.
Raja Raj Nath (Rishi Kapoor) the son of a wealthy Hindu businessman Ram Nath (Pran) and Bobby Braganza (Dimple Kapadia) the daughter of a poor Goan Christian fisherman named Jack Braganza are the two teens from opposite backgrounds in Bombay who fall in love (Prem Nath).
Sagaar (1985).
The romantic drama film Saagar was produced and directed by Ramesh Sippy in 1985 in India. Rishi Kapoor Kamal Haasan and Dimple Kapadia are the movie’s stars. Javed Akhtar wrote the song lyrics the screenplay and the premise for the movie. R. D. Burman composed the soundtrack. When it was first released movie won four Filmfare Awards and earned favourable reviews. The 1994 action/crime movie Krantiveer was written produced and directed by Mehul Kumar. The lead actors in the movie are Nana Patekar Dimple Kapadia Atul Agnihotri and Mamta Kulkarni. Supporting actors include Tinu Anand Danny Denzongpa Paresh Rawal and Farida Jalal. In addition to earning three Star Screen Awards four Filmfare Awards and one National Film Award the movie went on to become the third-highest-grossing movie of the year.
When Pratap arrives in Mumbai he saves the life of Atul the son of chawl owner Laxminath (Paresh Rawal). Laxminath makes the choice to keep Pratap close by. When they become adults Atul develops feelings for Mamta (Mamta Kulkarni) the daughter of Yograj a builder (Tinnu Anand). Pratap never stops laughing at the newspaper reporter Megha Dixit (Dimple Kapadia) who continues to fight injustice by publishing articles about it in newspapers despite living in the chawl. Pratap advises people to stand up for themselves and become strong rather than relying on others to assist them.
Pratap assassinates the judge the policeman and the corrupted ministers. His trial results in a death sentence. When a lawyer arrives on the scene to announce that Pratap has been pardoned by the President he is in the middle of telling the witnesses at the public hanging that they are all cowards and that he is willing to die. Pratap picks up a weapon and murders Chattursingh Chita by the bayonet after the latter arrives on the scene to kill Pratap. In this tale a bold person chooses to confront injustice and is willing to give his life to further this cause.
Tandav (2021)
Ali Abbas Zafar conceived directed and produced the Indian political thriller web series Tandav with Gaurav Solanki writing the narrative. Saif Ali Khan Sunil Grover Tigmanshu Dhulia Dimple Kapadia Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub Dino Morea and Anup Soni are among the series’ ensemble cast members.
The show is about the murky underbelly of Indian politics where those seeking power will stop at nothing to achieve it.

Vinod Khanna Kissing Dimple Kapadia
Vinod Khanna used to work nonstop on numerous projects and spend a lot of time filming after leaving Bhagawan Rajneesh’s ashram. According to numerous media accounts Dimple Kapadia was the actress he was working with on Prem Dharm at the time and one night things got a little out of hand and the actress was afraid. Vinod Khanna and Dimple Kapadia were scheduled to film a bedroom scene while filming Prem Dharm. Vinod was intended to kiss and cuddle Dimple in the scene before falling asleep.
Dimple was kissed and cuddled by Vinod Khanna but Mahesh Bhatt chose to take one more take with a longer time to capture an intense feeling.
