With the help of her father’s acquaintances, she put together a portfolio and entered the competition. Despite not having any previous modeling experience, she made it to the top 10 and won the new face award. She was modeling in Hyderabad when she was discovered by Krish, the casting director of the Telugu film Vedam. When the producers shortlisted 70 girls, she was chosen to play the role of Pooja, the wealthy girlfriend of the movie star Cable Raju (Allu Arjun), because she liked the script and decided to give it a try.
The anthology series Vedam was released to critical acclaim and was recognized at several award ceremonies. She soon signed two more films, the next being the highly successful Mirapakay, starring Ravi Teja. She made her female lead debut in the action drama Wanted, opposite Gopichand, which was released two weeks after Mirapakaay but was a box office flop.
She has signed contracts with three more Telugu projects: Rebel starring Prabhas and Tamannaah; Nippu again starring Ravi Teja; and Uu Kodathara? Uli ki Padathara? a social fantasy film. She also acted in the Tamil films Vettai Mannan starring Silambarasan and Rajapattai starring Suseenthiran in 2013.
