Khel – An unusual game
Yusuf Khan directed the 2003 Indian Hindi action film Khel – No Ordinary Game. The film stars Sunny Deol, Sunil Shetty and Celina Jaitley. It was also the Bollywood debut of former Indian cricketer Ajay Jadeja. The film was released on October 3, 2003.
The story centers on Dev Mallya, a successful industrialist who develops feelings for Saanj Batra and plans to marry her. Hoping to create a comfortable environment for Mrs. Kiran Batra and her daughter, Dev hires Saanj to renovate his luxurious mansion. But Dev starts to feel uneasy when he learns that Saanj has feelings for his friend Rohan Bottar. Things get worse when Rohan is arrested, tried, and sentenced to life imprisonment for murder. This heartbreaking news eventually leads to Saanj agreeing to marry Dev.
Everything seems perfect in Dev’s world until Assistant Police Commissioner Rajveer Scindia reopens Rohan Potdar’s case, suspecting a conspiracy against him. This development challenges the stability of Dev and Saanjh’s relationship and brings in new intrigue and suspense to the story.
Paying Guests
Ashish Chaudhary, Shreyas Talpade, Javed Jaffrey, Vatsal Seth, Celina Jaitly, Neha Dhupia, Riya Sen, Sayali Bhagat and Johnny Lever star in the 2009 Indian comedy series Paying Guest. The film was directed by Subhash Ghai and produced by Mukta Arts and directed by Paritosh Painter. The story revolves around a group of friends living in Pattaya, Thailand. Paying Guest is a comedy that was translated into Hindi by Sailesh Dey from his Bengali play Joymakali Boarding.
The shooting of the film started in the second week of April 2008. Riya Sen was initially offered the role of Aarti Gupta, played by Neha Dhupia, but she turned it down, choosing to play Alpita, Jaish’s thespian girlfriend.
