Amit along with his band got an opportunity to perform on Idea Rocks India 2009 which was aired on Colours, Amit was the lead singer of the band. They were one of the top four bands of the season.

• Whenever Mishra had free lectures, he and his group of 12 to 15 boys would eat ‘chole-samosa’ and ‘khullad wali chai’ in the college canteen.
