Abhinav Bindra is an Indian sport shooter. The full name of Abhinav Bindra is Abhinav Apjit Bindra. The date of birth of Abhinav Bindra is 28 September 1982. When asked about his mental health, Abhinav Bindra responded, “I have had a long career in sports with many ups and downs. Ironically, the biggest mental crisis in my life came when I was on the verge of success. Many people talk about coping with failure, but I think the toughest moment in my life was coping with success.”

It wasn’t until the Beijing Olympics that I achieved my greatest success. I trained for 16 years of my life with the single-minded goal of winning an Olympic gold medal.

This wish and goal finally came true one day, but it left a huge void in my life. I think it was definitely a hard thing to do. I felt lost and depressed. I didn’t know how to live or what to do after that. The 38-year-old recalled that it was one of the hardest times in his life.

My energy reserves were low. I had to expend a lot of energy to win the competition. However, not having a goal can make you feel listless in life. The benefit of having goals in life is that they provide motivation, and when motivation is gone, life loses a lot of meaning. Sometimes we fall into the fallacy that winning a gold medal equals happiness. This is not true, and we need to change the equation to happiness equals gold medal, adds Abhinav Bindra.

Abhinav Bindra Matches and Career

After graduating from St. Stephen’s School in Chandigarh, he impressed at the 2000 Summer Olympics, scoring 560 points in the qualifying round as the youngest competitor (17 years old) and finishing 11th. Although he failed to make the final, he had put in a great effort.

In 2001, Abhinav Bindra won a total of six gold medals in various international competitions with his perseverance and strong desire to win. In the World Cup held in Munich that same year, Abhinav broke the junior world record with a score of 597/600 and finished third.
