Smriti Irani posted a selfie of her daughter on her Instagram account. The next day, her daughter was teased and bullied by one of her classmates and Zoesh asked her mother to delete her selfie. Smriti Irani said her daughter’s classmate laughed at her looks and told friends in the class to shame her for her appearance in her mother’s Instagram post.
Ms Irani shared a photo of herself and explained why she reposted it after deleting it the day before. She went on to say that her daughter begged her to delete the post, which she did. “I listened because I couldn’t bear to see her cry,” she wrote, adding that she later realised that deleting the message actually contributed to the bullying.

According to information obtained through a right to information request, Anthony D’Gama’s legal representative, Dean D’Gama, entered into a lease agreement with the business before the NFDA issued a food license.
Irani had earlier denied that she and her daughter were associated with Silly Souls Cafe and Bar at house number 452, Asago, Tawado, Goa. According to documents filed in response to the RTI, Dean D’Gama Anthony D’Gama’s legal counsel and Eightball Food and Beverages signed a 10-year lease agreement on January 1, 2021, at a monthly rent of Rs 50,000.

Lawyer Aires Rodrigues said the restaurant owners had provided “false and forged documents” to obtain the license. Following the complaint, Goa Excise Commissioner Narayan M. Gad issued a notice of inquiry to the restaurant on July 21.
