Trent Boult is a New Zealand international cricketer. Trent Boult was born on 22 July 1989. Trent Boult’s date of birth is 22 July 1989. Trent Boult’s full name is Trent Alexander Boult. As of 2022, Trent Boult’s age is 33 years old. Trent Boult’s hometown is Rotorua. Trent Boult’s height is 5.11 feet. Trent Alexander Boult (born 22 July 1989) is a bowler for the Northern Districts in New Zealand domestic cricket as well as the New Zealand international team.
He bats right-handed and bowls left-handed, with fast and medium pace. In December 2011, Bolt made his Test debut for New Zealand and in July of the same year, he made his One-Day International debut for New Zealand. At the 2015 Cricket World Cup, he was the joint-highest scorer. In June 2019, Bolt became the first New Zealand bowler to score a hat-trick at the Cricket World Cup and in November 2018, he became the third New Zealand bowler to score a hat-trick in One-Day Internationals.
Boult was born in Rotorua in 1989. He attended Otumoetai College and was educated there. He grew up in Tauranga and Hope. Trent Boult’s father is unknown. Trent Boult’s brother is Jono Boult. He is Jono Boult’s younger brother, a cricket player. Trent announced his engagement to his partner Gert Smith in June 2016 and the two married in a low-key ceremony at Kauri Bay Boomrock in August 2017. They live in Mount Maunganui and have three children.
During a trip to Melbourne, Trent Bolt proposed to Gert Smith, and the two currently live in Mount Maunganui. Trent Bolt’s wife is Gert Smith. They have three sons.
Trent Boulter was a left-arm fast batsman who Sir Richard Hadlee considered to be one of the best new-ball pairings New Zealand had ever seen, with his ability to move the ball in both directions even in unresponsive conditions, posing a serious threat to batsmen around the world.
Living in the Bay of Plenty region of New Zealand’s North Island, Bolt was a typical Kiwi youngster… in the words of his brother Jono, he enjoyed golf, fishing and surfing. But his real love was cricket. He lived in the same neighborhood as future teammates Kane Williamson and Doug Bracewell, and his family was caring and helped him stay grounded. As a teenager, his talent was apparent. At 17, he was recognized as the fastest high school bowler in the country. A year later, he represented New Zealand in the Under-19 World Cup.
However, the foray into cricket was not without its challenges. In 2009, Bolt missed two years of cricket due to a stress fracture in his back, which taught him to prioritise strength and fitness. Rumor has it that tweaking his bowling action was the cause of his injury. Under the guidance of one of Bolt’s idols, Shane Bond, Bolt decided to return to old habits, and the results were encouraging. By 2015, he was able to sustain speeds of 140 km/h for long periods of time. He grew into one of New Zealand’s indispensable players in all formats of the game and was one of the key figures in the team’s first World Cup final in 2015.
Initially, Bolt struggled to make the limited-overs team because he was not thought to move the white ball as much as the red ball. However, his form in Test cricket was too enticing to ignore: just two years after his 2013 debut, he became New Zealand’s leading wicket-taker. He took 100 wickets in just his 29th appearance. This suited him well, as Brendan McCullum values attacking cricket in the shorter format, and Bolt had established himself as a bowler who preferred to take batsmen out of the game rather than silence them.
In the 2015 World Cup, he was tied for the tournament’s top batsman with 22 wickets in 9 matches, including 5 for 27 in a thrilling win over Australia. His value in T20 cricket is reflected in his IPL salary of (approximately) $600,000.
Northside coach John Pamment said Bolt’s advantage is that his wrist is in very good position and is just behind the ball, which gives him good control of the ball.
Tim Southee is Bolt’s friend and listener and another great asset to the team. When they play together, their combination is mesmerizing and produces strong statistics. The duo helped New Zealand to its most successful Test year in 2014, winning five out of nine matches and taking 67 of the team’s 143 wickets.
The duo quickly took 200 Test wickets and as of 2019, they are third and fourth on New Zealand’s Test wicket-taker list, behind Hadlee and Daniel Vettori. Bolt continued his impressive run in the 2019 World Cup, taking 17 wickets while assisting the New Zealand attack. He took a hat-trick against Australia and took the crucial wicket of Virat Kohli in the semi-final against India. Had it not been for some bad luck, he might have helped his country win the World Cup. He bowled the final over and the super innings in the tie-breaking final against England. Bolt is one of the few fast bowlers who fields a great defence and is adept at bowling one-handed.

On August 10, New Zealand Cricket announced that Trent Boult had been released from his contract with the national team, which came as a surprise to the public. It is not true that those who are not under contract with the national team are ineligible for selection. In contrast, Bolt only plays for New Zealand when he is given the opportunity.
“We acknowledge Trent’s perspective. While we are sad to lose him, he leaves with our best wishes and sincere gratitude,” New Zealand Cricket chief executive David White said in a statement. “He was completely honest with us about his reasons for leaving. After leaving international cricket, he will play in foreign leagues and spend more time with his family.”
In 2022, Trent Boult is worth $5 million. His net worth is estimated to be Rs 39.5 crore. His net worth comes from the income from IPL, New Zealand Cricket Board endorsement ads, and other domestic competitions he plays. Trent Boult earns $1.5 million per year, which is approximately Rs 12 crore. His IPL contract worth Rs 8 crore with Rajasthan Royals is the main source of his income.
