Raghav Loki’s 2009 Indian romantic drama Gilli was shot in the Kannada language. In the movie which is a remake of Selvaraghavan’s 2004 Tamil-Telugu bilingual 7G Rainbow Colony actor Jaggesh’s sons Gururaj and Yethiraj as well as actress Rakul Preet Singh play the lead roles originally played by Ravi Krishna Suman Setty and Sonia Agarwal. Sudha Belavadi Srinivas and Veena Venkatesh play supporting roles. The movie whose soundtrack was composed by renowned Tamil musician Yuvan Shankar Raja and whose cinematography was handled by Krishna of Mungaru Male fame had its premiere on October 16 2009.

First Hindi Movie: Yariyaan (2014)

Five close friends who are in college going through various romances and picking up new values are the subjects of Yaariyan.

The distributor released the movie two weeks sooner than anticipated as a result of the feedback to the YouTube promotional content. The movie premiered on January 10 2014 in India on 1200 screens. The right guy is the subtitle for the 2016 Indian action movie Sarrainodu which was written and directed by Boyapati Srinu and was made by Allu Aravind’s Geetha Arts. Allu Arjun Rakul Preet Singh Catherine Tresa Srikanth and Aadhi Pinisetty are the movie’s stars. Supporting actors include Brahmanandam Sai Kumar Jayaprakash Pradeep Rawat Suman and Adarsh Balakrishna. 

The movie’s music is by S. Thaman. The movie’s Telugu release date was April 22 2016. A month after the Telugu premiere Yodhavu the Malayalam dub of Sarrainodu was released in Kerala. The film’s plot revolves around the relationship between a colonel and his protege that is impacted when the latter turns sour after overhearing a conversation and goes rogue with sensitive information pertaining to his covert organization forcing the colonel to race against time. The plot was inspired by the Adarsh Housing society scam.

Its release date was moved from January 26 to February 9 to yet another week and then it was released on February 16 2018. Reliance Home Video & Games published the movie on DVD. De De Pyaar De (2019)

Give me love is the title of the 2019 Indian romantic comedy De De Pyaar De which was written by Luv Ranjan and is being directed by Akiv Ali in his feature film debut. Under their respective production companies T-Series and Luv Films Bhushan Kumar Krishan Kumar Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg produced it. Rakul Preet Singh Tabu and Ajay Devgn all appear in it. The movie centres on Ashish an Indian immigrant who is middle-aged and planning a divorce. He chooses to wed Ayesha a young woman who is nearly half his age. Chaos results when Ayesha is presented to his family including his soon-to-be ex-wife and kids.

De De Pyaar De was supposed to come out on March 15 2019 but it was postponed to prevent it from clashing with Devgn’s Total Dhamaal which was also planned to come out then. On May 17 2019 it had its Indian theatrical debut. The movie got largely conflicting reviews; while critics complimented Devgn and Tabu’s performances many criticised the film’s misogynistic ideals. Despite having a production budget of only 600 million (US$7.5 million) the movie made approximately 1.43 billion (US$18 million) globally making it a financial success. Alok Nath’s final film was this one.

Marjaavaan (2019)

A 2019 Hindi-language romantic action movie titled Marjaavaan was written and directed by Milap Milan Zaveri and was made by T-Series and Emmay Entertainment. Sidharth Malhotra Riteish Deshmukh Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet Singh are Marjaavaan’s stars. Co-producer Bhushan Kumar characterized it as a spicy and dramatic love story. The movie’s critical reception was conflicted and its box office performance was below ordinary.Alongside Ritesh Deshmukh Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria she starred in the action drama Marjaavaan directed by Milap Milan Zaveri in the same year.

The Marjaavaan music album was released by T-Series and Tum Hi Aana Thodi Jagah and Peeyu Datt Ke as well as the item number Ek Toh Kam Zindagani became some of the album’s major chart-toppers. In India Pen Entertainment handled distribution and Eros International handled international sales.

Indian 2

Indian 2 is a forthcoming S. Shankar- and Lyca Productions-produced vigilante action thriller movie in the Indian Tamil language. Starring Kamal Haasan Karthik Kajal Aggarwal Siddharth Rakul Preet Singh Priya Bhavani Shankar Bobby Simha Guru Somasundaram and Samuthirakani it is the follow-up to the 1996 film Indian. Anirudh Ravichander composed the soundtrack for the movie which also has photography by Ravi Varman and Rathnavelu and editing by A. Sreekar Prasad.

In September 2017 news of Indian 2 was released. In January 2019 principal photography began in Chennai Rajahmundry and Bhopal. Following an accident on the sets in February 2020 that resulted in the deaths of a few staff members filming was stopped. Due to other commitments the COVID-19 epidemic financial overruns and legal problems production hasn’t restarted since that time.

Attack (2022)

Rakul’s first release in 2022 was the action movie Attack directed by Lakshya Raj Anand and starring John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez. Mixed reviews were given to it. Attack: Part 1 is a science fiction action movie set in 2022 that is in the Hindi language and was written by Vishal Kapoor Sumit Batheja and John Abraham. Attack premiered in theatres on April 1 2022. Critics gave the movie mixed reviews praising the action scenes while criticizing The movie’s first release date in theatres was set for August 14 2020 across all countries. However the suspension of the shooting caused a delay. Its release date was originally set for January 28 2022 however it was delayed because of an increase in Omicron variant instances. The first day of April 2022 saw its theatrical debut. The movie’s screenplay was broadcast on ZEE5 on May 27. The movie ultimately failed commercially. The movie had made 19.20 crore in India and 3.50 crore abroad as of April 14 2022 for a total worldwide gross of 22.70 crores.

Doctor G

The social comedy Doctor G starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rakul Preet Singh in Hindi. Anubhuti Kashyap is the director while Junglee Pictures is the production company. Sheeba Chaddha and Shefali Shah play minor roles. The movie’s June 2022 release date was pushed back though. It centers on a doctor’s battles with being a male gynaecologist.

I Love You

Rakupreet’s new movie I Love You is released on the OTT platform Jio Cinema. It’s a Romance Drama and Thriller movie. Along with Rakupreet  Pavail Gulati and Akshay Oberoi will be featured. The Movie is directed by Nikhil Mahajan. Currently the movie has an IMDB rating of 8.0.

Drug Case Controversy

Actress Rakul Preet Singh: Despite the fact that a charge sheet has been filed against her a top agency official stated that it would be premature to comment on the issue because money laundering was involved. In addition to her other performers have also been charged. In a four-year-old narcotics case the ED has issued summonses to Tollywood’s leading actors and directors. These include Puri Jagannath Ravi Teja Rana Daggubati and Rakul Preet Singh. These are all well-known actors from the South. They have all been called at the same moment. The ED summoned actress Rakul Preet Singh on September 6. The date of Rana Daggubati’s summons is September 8. Along with Puri Jagannath on September 31 and Ravi Teja on September 9 respectively. In the four-year-old narcotics case twelve people have so far been served with summonses.

The Telangana Excise Department is involved in the case. Based on an investigation the department filed 12 complaints in a well-known bar in July 2017. In this case eleven charge papers were submitted. Rakul Preet Singh Rana Daggubati Puri Jagannath and Ravi Teja have not yet been named as suspects. To declare whether or not they are involved in money laundering according to a senior agency official would be premature. After that nothing further developed in the matter and following the first Hungama everyone went on. Even though Rakul was in pain at the time the actress may have benefited from the drug case. She is no longer considered a South Asian actress in Bollywood. For whatever reason they regard her as one of them and are now offering her greater opportunities. For reasons best known to the locals acceptance has only grown after the drug case. Apart from Vaishnav Tej’s upcoming Telugu film which was agreed upon before the case the actress does not currently have any offers. After that Tollywood refused to hire her for another movie.
