Pamela Singh was born on February 19, 1948 in Lahore, Pakistan, the daughter of Indian Army officer Mohinder Singh. She is the elder of two younger brothers. She is also the cousin of actress Simi Gariwal, as Chopra’s father Mohinder Singh and Gariwal’s mother Dash Gariwal are siblings.

Forty years later, Pamela Chopra recalled their marriage, saying, “She was not wrong, because we have a wonderful marriage. The initial proposal was clearly a blessing in disguise.” When Yash and Pamela first met officially, they found a deep connection and understanding in each other. This connection eventually blossomed into love, and in 1970 they had a joyous wedding.

Besides playing the roles of a wife and mother, Pamela Chopra has also ventured into the film industry. She rose to fame as a dubbing singer, singing songs like Kabhi Kabhie (1976) and Mujhse Dosti Karoge! (2002). She has also worked in her husband’s films.
