Indian cricketer Nitish Rana currently plays for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He is currently the captain of the Uttar Pradesh cricket team and is an attacking left-handed batsman and a powerful spin bowler. In his early years, he was a batsman and part-time bowler, but now he has grown into a powerful all-round batsman. On 23 July 2021, Nitish Rana made his international debut in an ODI match in Colombo against Sri Lanka. In this match, he scored 7 runs from just 14 balls. The next week, on 28 July 2021, he played his first Twenty20 match in Colombo against Sri Lanka.

The powerful batsman has played two T20 Internationals and one ODI cricket match as of February 2022. With a strike rate of 132.5 and a strike average of 7.5, he has scored a total of 15 runs in two Twenty20 Internationals.
