Jane Kaczmarek is an American actress from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She grew up in Greendale as a Roman Catholic. Her mother, Evelyn, was a teacher, and her father, Edward Kaczmarek, was a staff member of the U.S. Department of Defense. She is of Polish descent.

Jane Kaczmarek is best known for her role in the sitcom “Malcolms” (TV, 2000-06). The show earned her three Golden Globe Award nominations and seven Primetime Emmy Award nominations. She had a role in the legal drama Equal Justice (TV series, 1990-1991).

In November 2012, she guest-starred as a dental teacher on ABC’s The Middle. She guest-starred in the long-running legal drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2013), playing prosecutor Pam James.
