Isha Talwar is an Indian film actress known for her roles in mostly South Indian and Hindi films. She has acted in many Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil films during her career. But she gained recognition across the country for her role as Madhuri Yadav in the Amazon Prime web series Mirzapur Mirzapur 2. Isha was born on 22 December 1987 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. After her early education in Mumbai, she obtained a degree in Economics from St. Xavier’s College.

In 2004, she joined the dance school of Bollywood choreographer Terence Lewis, where she learned dance forms such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop and salsa. Later, she joined the same dance studio as a mentor. Isha started her career as a model. During her modeling career, she has appeared in more than 40 advertisements for different brands such as Pizza Hut, Vivel Whitening Cream, Kaya Skin Clinic and Dulux Paints. Before her starring role, she played a child actor in the 2000 Bollywood film Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai.

She made her debut in Malayalam films in the 2012 film Thattathin Marayathu, in which she played the lead role of Ayesha Rehman. She prepared for the film for about two years. She took language learning courses and also received guitar training. The film became a box office hit and she played the role of a Muslim girl named Ayesha who falls in love with a Hindu boy.

After playing the role of Samantha in the 2012 Malayalam film, I Love Me, she made her Telugu film debut as Shruti in the 2013 film Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde. She made her Tamil film debut as Janani in the 2013 film Thillu Mullu. She has acted in 9 Malayalam films so far. Her other two Malayalam films, Theerpu and Nethra, are set to release in 2022. Apart from this, she has acted in 2 Tamil films and 3 Telugu films.

Isha made her Bollywood debut as Maya in the 2017 film Tubelight. Her co-star Salman Khan starred in the film, which grossed over Rs 100 crore. She has since acted in various roles in Bollywood films like Kaalakaandi, Article 15, Kaamyaab and Sharmaji Namkeen. Apart from films, she also acted in the Hindi TV show Rishtey in 2010. In 2014, she also joined the Malayalam TV show Comedy Star as a judge.

In 2017, she participated in the Malayalam TV show Comedy Super Night 3 as a dancer. Apart from this, she played a part in the Malayalam TV series Kasthooriman in 2018. Apart from movies and TV shows, Isha Talwar has also ventured into the world of web series. In 2019, she started to venture into the world of web series after playing the role of Shagun in the web series Home Sweet Office by Dice Media.

In 2019, she played the role of Hamida in the ZEE5 web series Parchhayee. She also appeared in the Flipkart video Swaha in 2020. But she got a huge hit with her role of Madhuri Yadav in the Amazon Prime web series Mirzapur and Mirzapur 2. In 2022, she will be seen in the Amazon Prime web series Indian Police Force.
