Stumped is a 2003 Bollywood sports/drama film written and directed by Gaurav Pandey and produced by Raveena Tandon. The film marked Raveena’s debut as a producer. Two cricket legends Salman Khan and Sachin Tendulkar made brief cameos in the film. Despite heavy marketing efforts, the film did not garner much attention upon its release.

Humpty Sharma ki Dulhania (2014)

In 2014, a Hindi romantic comedy film titled Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania was written and directed by newcomer Shashank Khaitan and produced by Dharma Productions. It starred Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and newcomer Sidharth Shukla.

Kavya Pratap Singh, a cheerful and cheerful girl from Ambala, travels to Delhi to do some wedding shopping when she meets Humpty Sharma, a carefree Delhi lad. Humpty grew up with his two closest buddies, Shonty and Poplu, and still hangs out in their father’s college bookstore. Humpty initially finds Kavya out of reach, but this only increases his admiration for her. However, like a Delhi boy, he is not one to give up easily. Young, lively, and carefree, they are drawn to the passion of life. As planned, Kavya returns to Ambala after her trip, but she knows very well that her father, the loving but strict Mr. Singh, will never accept her love for Humpty. Although neither of them sought love, love happens, so Humpty and his friends decide to go find Kaavia. He now embarks on an adventure that he would never have thought of doing even in his wildest thoughts. Despite the odds, Humpty decides to convince Kaavia’s family to support his alliance with her. The rest of the story deals with how he does this and whether he succeeds in his goal.

On July 11, 2014, Humpty Sharma’s Dulhania was released in theatres. The film grossed Rs 119 crore worldwide and became a box office hit. In 2017, the sequel to Badrinath’s Dulhania was released.

Flying Jatt (2016)

Remo D’Souza co-wrote and directed the 2016 Indian superhero film The Powerpuff Girls, produced by Balaji Motion Pictures. Tiger Shroff, Jacqueline Fernandez and Nathan Jones played key roles in the film. The Powerpuff Girls tells the story of a child, Aman Dhillon, who gets super powers from a magical tree.

Malhotra wants to buy a Sikh settlement land that belongs to a lady of Dhillon, who is famous for her factory and goes by the name of Bebe. However, Bebe has no intention of giving him the land. The land also has a tree that is revered as a sacred tree by everyone. Malhotra tells Bebe’s son Aman that if she doesn’t sell the land to him, her life will be threatened. Malhotra sends Rakhar to cut the tree. One rainy night, Aman is sitting by the sacred tree, praying for his mother, when he sees Rakhar sawing the tree. They start fighting, and after Aman is defeated by Rakhar, he draws divine power from the tree and soon recovers. Rakhar turns into a poisonous monster who wants to destroy the environment, while Aman turns into the superhero Flying Jatt to help those in need.

The film was released worldwide on 25 August 2016, over the Janmashtami weekend. The film received mixed reviews. A Flying Jatt received mixed reviews. The narrative pace, tone, clichés and direction were criticised, but the acting, visuals, music direction and action scenes were praised. Thought Bubbles Studio Planet created a graphic novel based on A Flying Jatt. The story continues where the film ends.

Badrinath Dilhania (2017)

Written and directed by Shashank Khaitan, the 2017 romantic comedy Badrinath Ki Dulhania was produced by Dharma Productions. Starring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, the film is considered a spiritual sequel to Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014). It tells the story of an aspiring independent air hostess from a small town who defies the demands of her chauvinistic fiancé who insists that she conform to patriarchal ideals.

The story revolves around a boy named Badrinath Bansal aka Badri, a Jhansi who follows his father’s rules, is a lazy guy and wants to find a bride. His life takes a turn when he meets Vidhya, a flight attendant and a career-minded woman, at a Rajasthani wedding. Vidhya gets annoyed by Badri’s lack of education and flirtation, but eventually they start to be attracted to each other.

The second film in the Dulhania series was titled Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The film was released in India on the Holi weekend on March 10, 2017. The film grossed over Rs. 200.45 crore at the global box office and was a huge commercial success.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania received eight nominations at the 63rd Indian Film Awards, including Best Film, Best Director (Khaitan), Best Actor (Dhawan) and Best Actress (Bhatt), and won Best Male Dubbing Singer (Arijit Singh for Roke Na Ruke Naina).

Love Bites(2018)

Love Bites is a Hindi short film starring Charlie Chauhan Gaurav Pandey etc. The film is directed by Adheesh Verma.

In this story, two strangers come together. Through a matchmaking service, two very different people meet. The outcome should have been obvious, but these two people are not what we expect.
